District 5 Candidates Forum – via Zoom on Tuesday, July 18th at 7 pm

The primary and general election for City Council will be this fall.  Four candidates have announced for District 5, which will serve most of the LANA area in 2024.  The candidates in alphabetical order are current City Councilor Ricardo Arroyo, Enrique Pepén, Jose Ruiz, and Jean Claude Sanon.  A candidate forum will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, July 18^th at 7 pm.  To register for the candidates’ forum, go to https://tinyurl.com/D5forumJuly18  

LANA is co-sponsoring the District 5 Candidates Forum along with Hyde Park Neighborhood Association, Progressive West Roxbury/Roslindale, Racial Justice & Equity Forum of Hyde Park, Rozzie Bikes, Walk-Up Roslindale, Ward 18 Democratic Committee.  As a nonprofit organization, LANA does not endorse specific political candidates.  However, LANA believes it is important to have public discussion and for residents to have the opportunity to learn about each candidate.  The primary election for City Council is scheduled for Tuesday, September 12^th.  The final day to register to vote or update your registration is Saturday, September 2^nd.
